Jack & the Beanstalk Cast Announced

The Palace is excited to announce the fantastic cast for this year’s pantomime, Jack and The Beanstalk.

Taking the title role of Jack is Josh Capper, whose credits include Dreamboats and Petticoats (UK Tour), High School Musical (UK Tour) and Mamma Mia (International Tour).  Nadine Higgin, whose recent credits include Legally Blonde (West End) and Hairspray (West End), will be playing Jill.

Dame Trott will be played by Terence Frisch, a favourite on the panto scene having previously appeared in pantomimes all over the country, including Aladdin, Cinderella and Dick Whittington. Terence’s other theatre credits include Jerusalem (Royal Court) and Lord of the Rings (Drury Lane).  

We welcome Martin Callaghan as Frank Furter, whose previous credits include UK tours of The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Chicago, Aspects of Love, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar.  

The role of Nightshade will be played by Ben Watson, whose theatre credits include The Blues Brothers Party (UK/Japan tour) and The Jungle Book (UK tour).

Martin Doyle and Alan Pearson will be working alongside eachother as Bonecrunch and as part of the ensemble.  Martin’s theatre credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Theatre Royal Bath) and A New World (Shakespeare’s Globe).  Alan’s credits include Avenue Q (West End), Hair (English Theatre, Frankfurt) and Hamlet (Donmar Warehouse).

Finally, we welcome back Laura Doddington, who will be playing the role of Fortuna/Spatula, having previously performed the part of the Fairy Godmother in the recent production of Cinderella at the Palace. Other recent credits include Communicating Doors and Life of Riley (Scarborough and National Tour) and On a Shout (Hull Truck Theatre).
