Let's Talk To Barry

Written & performed by Alex Lowe

Featuring the vocal talents of Catherine Tate and Iain Lee
“Barry from Watford” is the star turn on Iain Lee’s phone-in show on LBC 97.3FM.

Over the past 9 months listeners have been regaled with tales about his wife Margaret, rowdy neighbours and the trials and tribulations of getting a celebrity to turn on his residential home’s Christmas lights. In March 2006, Barry was dramatically banned from the airwaves, following an angry outburst. Hundreds of listeners  jammed the phone lines to demand his return.

Now Barry tells us his life story: his humble South London roots, raising a family in the suburbs and finally how a valiant 81 year old brought a major London radio station to its knees.
