“It’s a matter of ‘opinion’... It’s semantics. And right now doctor, my semantics are better than yours so I win...”

In a workplace where hierarchy is key, a young psychiatric consultant makes the mistake of questioning his superior and a battle of wills and minds begins. A difference of opinion about a patient’s treatment leads to an abuse of power and manipulation of the truth, as arrogance and vanity take over. The rapid interplay between the characters makes for a fast-paced comedy where being able to outwit your opponent in a war of words is the way to end up on top! Joe Penhall’s astute writing creates a play packed with sharp and witty dialogue for the perfect stinging satire.

In addition to numerous theatre credits, Joe Penhall has created film adaptations of The Long Firm, Enduring Love and Blue/Orange which was shown on the BBC in 2005.
