Mrs Reynolds And The Ruffian

Gary Owen

Friendships grow in the most unlikely of places.

Mrs Reynolds is a little old lady. Jay is a troubled youth. When he vandalises her lovingly tended garden, the authorities send him back to help her fix it. It seems a recipe for disaster - but human beings are more complex than the headlines.

A warm, wise, funny and thought provoking play about the way we live now, Mrs Reynolds And The Ruffian is directed by Artistic Director Brigid Larmour. She commissioned the play for Watford Palace after the success of Gary's play We That Are Left in 2007.

Gary's previous productions include Gary's Crazy Mobile Disco and The Drowned World (Paines Plough) and The Shadow of a Boy (National Theatre). He is Creative Associate of the Palace.
